A picturesque place for your wedding
Colchester Castle Park is a site of national importance and is renowned for its magnificent gardens.
The park itself is designated Grade II on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England and spans over 11 hectares.
Similarly to the Castle, parts of Castle Park hold history as old as 2000 years. During the 18th Century, Colchester Castle was given to Charles Grey who was the member of parliament for Colchester as a wedding gift. He renovated parts of the Park and created a private area around the Castle. And to this day, the scenery is unlike anything else you will see in Colchester with the surroundings and grounds meticulously maintained throughout the year.
