Can I collect my tickets on the night of the event?

We do not recommend you leave ticket collection until the night of the show. When you book you can chose to have your tickets emailed or posted to you.

I’ve tried booking a family ticket online but it isn’t letting me do it?

Some performances offer a family ticket discount. Just add the tickets you need to your basket and the family ticket discount will be applied automatically.

What are the age limits for concession tickets?

Under 16s are classed as a child ticket and over 60 is classed as a senior ticket (should concessions prices be available). A child 3 years and under is free provided they sit on an adults lap.

Do you do concessions for disabilities/students/children etc?

Depending on the promoter of the event, concessions can be available – but it is not a standard rule for all events. Please call the Box Office on 01206 573948 to find out.

Ticket Issues

I am having trouble booking my tickets online.

This may be due to the event being sold out or there may not be enough seats left in the allotted block. Please call the Box Office on 01206 573948 to arrange your booking.

I have lost my tickets, what can I do?

Please call the box office on 01206 573948 so we can find your booking and arrange collection of the re-printed tickets.


What payment methods do you accept at the box office?

We accept all credit/debit and American Express cards except Visa electron.

Booking fee

Some performances have a £1.50 per ticket booking fee in addition to the cost of the tickets. This is applicable to all bookings and is to cover card costs and agency ticket fees.

Do you do refunds?

Once a ticket is purchased, tickets can not be exchanged or refunded.

What are the Box Office opening times?

The Box Office is open 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and opens 90 minutes before an event.

Other Information

Do I have to pay for parking?

Yes. Car parking charges apply for Charter Hall events unless stated by the promoter or event listing.

Purchasing a parking ticket is easy – when purchasing tickets to your selected show you will have an option to purchase a car parking ticket too.

Don’t worry if you miss this at the time of purchase. You can still use the pay and display machines at Charter Hall car park.

Please note that Parking is not sold separately or for experience days.

Is photography permitted in the hall?

This is dependent on the show/promoter. For clarification please call Colchester Events Company on 01206 282946 (Monday – Friday – 10.00am-4.00pm).

What is cabaret style?

The seats are set out around tables with a continual bar rolling throughout the performance. There is also more space to get up and have a dance.
