Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In view of national guidance and advice, a number of events scheduled to take place across Colchester Borough Council venues have been deferred, rescheduled or cancelled. Further information can be found below including specific ticketing information for individual events.

Colchester Borough Council is monitoring the current situation on coronavirus closely following information and advice published by the government.

5th November 2019 @ 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Colchester Castle Park
Colchester CO1 1UG

There will be entertainment, parade of the guy, lighting of the bonfire followed by a 20 minute fireworks spectacular lighting the sky over Colchester. Refreshments will also be available.




Gates to Castle Park will open at 6pm with entertainment commencing at 6pm with Michael J Fitch.

Parade at 7pm, Bonfire at 7.30pm and Fireworks at 7.40pm approx

Entrance and exit gates are located at Cowdray Crescent, Museum Street, Castle Road, Maidenburgh Street and Duncan’s Gate (other end of Folley by path to Leisure World)

*The Park and Ride bus will be running until 9.12pm (leaving on High Street) to accommodate the fireworks*

Only printed tickets will be accepted. Tickets on devices will not be accepted. If you are unable to print from home then Mercury Theatre are able to print these for you at the box office on High Street.

No refunds will be given due to bad weather. If the event is cancelled you will be notified via email and social media.
